Nigel Eaton's Halsway Schottische

Afternoon!
There's currently an idea going round - "how many people can we get to play Nigel Eaton's 'Halsway Schottische'?" Well how could I resist a challenge like that? So here is my version, once as solo and then for three nyckelharpas.  It was a fun afternoon playing and recording this. :)

Singi Sunset and Barham Down

Hello!
I've been busy planning some arrangements and have recorded the first of them. Two tunes, the first The Singi Sunset I wrote and the second is a Playford tune called Barham Down. I've got more of these one the way. Enjoy!  (If you'd like the arrangements themselves they're available in our shop.)

The Cedar Fence

Hello!
A tune to start the blog off with. A tune in C minor called 'The Cedar Fence'. The dots to the music can be found here.

Give me a shout with any questions about fingerings and bowing etc. It's a fairly straight forward tune with no surprises to catch you out. We were working on location and took a little time out to make the video, so that's why we're dressed up. :)

I'll post another video soon, with more handy tips later.

Nyckelharpa Fettling

A first video for my new blog. A new nyckelharpa might work perfectly, but sometimes they don't, especially if they are over 30 years old. This is the result.....
